priyanka das (b. India) currently lives and works in New York City, USA. She is a transdisciplinary artist, alternative filmmaker, writer, curator, and earth nurturer. Her works aim to ignite thoughts, feelings, and emotions that delve deep into the essence of “otherness” mediated by somatic, psychic, and cerebral intimate lived experiences and historic collective moments, memory, and imagination. Her works penetrate our daily lived experiences to re-familiarize us with our immediate surroundings and beyond. She calls this process of recognizing an opening to the consciousness of the hearts. Her recent artistic/research practice primarily focuses on the connection between somatic (body) and prana (life force through perceiving and experiencing) and how activating this connective awareness opens up a different relational space of "active being"
She is an active community builder for alternative creative practices. Her community outreach often includes collaborating with Millennium Film Workshop, ABC No Rio (In Exile), CineMovil, Sphere, Filmmaker Coop, etc.
In extension to this, she travels around the world teaching the importance of natural healthy soil and building interdependent/interactive ecological systems to create permaculture gardens...she has helped to build permaculture gardens in India, Indonesia, and the states.

somatic prana workshops and curatorial
The bridge between art, creativity and our old, forgotten, ancestral knowledge of body and self (cosmic) knowing.
Somatic Prana workshops are designed to activate creative energy within us by tapping into our cellular/somatic memory using sensory as our primary tool. Somatic memory uses somatic/body signals such as emotions, feelings, intuition, instinct, and many other forms of communication to connect with our environment around. This practice enables us to connect our physical reality with our somatic memory to manifest our subjective, personal creative reality. Sample of Somatic Prana Workshop Design

Masanobu Fukuoka believed in the principle of "Doing Nothing". My permaculture practice is rooted in that deep understanding that we are deeply connected to everything around us, so don't try to control it for personal benefit, simply listen and interact with nature around and within us and we will know how to grow garden in the wildest and most natural ways.
If you are interested in building a permaculture garden in your home, or in your community, please reach out. We can build it together and learn from each other and nature. In 2022, we built one of the first permaculture homesteads in rural eastern India. This one-year-old homestead now has over thirty-five fruit trees, grows forty+ different kinds of seasonal vegetables, and a natural water garden to provide fishes an organic habitat.
During the pandemic, we worked on this project at Rebel Farm in Odessa, Michigan to sustain their regenerative farm and soil building for vegetable produce.
